Dom Palmieri

Dom serves as chief operating officer for HM Insurance Group (HM) and is responsible for all operational areas, cost containment, strategic partnerships and reinsurance, as well as the executive oversight of HM’s Underwriting and Strategy areas.

He joined the company in 1997 in the Finance and Actuarial areas. Throughout his career at HM, his roles have increasingly expanded to controller and then to chief financial officer and treasurer before assuming the role of senior vice president, Operations & Strategic Partnerships, in 2011.

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry, Dom’s areas of expertise include captives, claims operations, cost containment, reinsurance and finance.

Dom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University.

Additionally, Dom is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and HM’s Corporate Giving team.
