Dan Carlton

Dan serves as regional sales vice president, Northeast Region, for HM Insurance Group (HM). In this role, he is responsible for the Boston, Hartford and New York  territories.

His areas of expertise include Stop Loss, marketplace dynamics, strategic planning, distribution channels, sales and account management, innovation management, team building, philanthropy, hospital and physician transparency, the health insurance industry and market trends.

Prior to joining HM in 2001, Dan held sales roles at MetLife and Guardian Life. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington.

Dan is an emeritus member of HM’s Corporate Giving team. He serves on the board of trustees for the Westchester/Hudson NY chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and also has been a significant contributor to fundraising activities for the National Kidney Foundation and the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association. Dan is a recipient of the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public Service – America’s “Nobel Prize” and highest honor for public service.
